Jingle bells: storia, testo e video dei tre tenori

Una delle canzoni simbolo del Natale è sicuramente Jingle Bells, scritta da James Lord Pierpont nel 1850 e pubblicata sette anni più tardi.
Inizialmente scritta per la Festa del Ringraziamento, la hit fu composta con il titolo "One Horse Open Sleigh" a Medford (Massachusetts-USA), prendendo ispirazione dalle corse sulle slitte, che erano in voga nel XIX secolo.






Solo nel 1859 fu cambiato il nome della canzone, facendola diventare "Jingle Bells, or the One Horse Open Sleigh", diventando ben presto nella storia della Festa del Natale.
Negli anni molti artisti hanno re-inciso la canzone, creando versioni swing, jazz, rock, dove il testo e l' atmosfera rimanevano inalterati.
I più grandi si sono cimentati con Jingle Bells, come i leggendari The Beatles, oppure la voce indimenticabile di Luciano Pavarotti, o quella da crooner di Frank Sinatra, con grandi record di vendite.
Il Natale è magico, la sue canzoni lo confermano, ed allora prepariamoci alla grande festa!
